Mr. Sitangshu Saha is an IIT-Kharagpur Alumnus, worked in Multiple organizations both in India and abroad. He has 42 years of working experiences , out of which 22 years in abroad of different countries .
He was involved in a very large integrated project ( Refinery and petrochemical ) of USD 27 billion in abroad (Malaysia), are two joint ventures formed from the strategic alliance of two of the world’s largest and most successful national oil companies – Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) , the national oil company of Malaysia, and Saudi Aramco, the national oil company of Saudi Arabia.
The refinery complex has a capacity of 300,000 barrels of crude per day, and produces a range of refined petroleum products, including jet fuel, motor gasoline and diesel meeting Euro 5 fuel specifications. It also provides feedstock for the petrochemical complex, that has a nameplate capacity of 3.4 million metric tonne per annum (MTPA) of Ethylene, propylene, Butadiene ,Benzene and MTBE ,2.5 million tonnes per annum of petrochemical products.
He is specializing on designing of static equipment, Fabrication,quality control ,commissioning, and operating various static units of the refinery and Petrochemical plants.
He also participated in several projects related to energy conservation, safety, and quality improvement.
He has contributed significantly to the advancement and growth of the petrochemical, heavy engineering and casting industries in India and abroad.
He hasexpertise in the areas of corrosionmanagement,cost effective material for project ,welding technology, and materials characterization.
He provided engineering and training services to various clients in the refinery and petrochemical industries, both in India and abroad. He also conducted workshops and seminars on topics related to refinery and petrochemical engineering, such as corrosion , material ,process optimization, safety, and sustainability.
He was responsible for the training and development of the managers and engineers of the refinery and petrochemical plant.
He designed and delivered various training programs and modules on topics related to refinery and petrochemical engineering, such as the materialselection , corrosion management, the equipment operation, the plant safety and plant life .
He is a reputed and experienced engineer who has contributed significantly to the development and growth of the refinery and petrochemical industries in India and abroad
He has retired fromPengerang Refining Company Sdn Bhd and Pengerang Petrochemical Company Sdn Bhd, Malayisa and started his own consultancy firm for Metallurgical Solutions.
He provides consultancy and training services to various clients in the petrochemical and heavy engineering industries, both in India and abroad.
He also conducts research and development projects on topics related to metallurgical engineering, such as furnace design, heat treatment, and surface engineering and corrosion Engineering.
He is a member of several professional associations and societies, such as the Bengal Chamber of commerce and Industry , National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE).
He is regularly taking the training programme for the Engineers arrange by NACE .
He is a Technical Director of a foundry , Datre Corporation Ltd , Kolkata
